Page health 101: tokens, flags, and the quiet ways pages die

Ask an operator how they lost a page and the story is rarely dramatic. The access token expired and posting silently stopped. A restriction landed and nobody appealed within the window. The queue ran dry in March and by May the reach was gone. Pages die of neglect faster than they die of mistakes.

Health monitoring is the unglamorous layer that keeps a portfolio alive. Here is what it needs to cover.

Connection health

Every page publishes through an authorized connection, and those authorizations expire, get revoked by password changes, or break when Meta requires re-consent for new permissions. A broken connection looks like nothing: posts simply stop.

The fix is boring and effective: monitor every posting identity's status continuously, alert the moment one goes stale, and keep more than one eligible identity per page so publishing fails over instead of failing silently. This is exactly what identity rotation gives you beyond load-spreading.

Standing and restrictions

Monetization and distribution both depend on page standing. Strikes from copyright claims, community standards flags, and spam signals accumulate quietly, and some have appeal windows measured in days. Checking standing across dozens of pages weekly by hand is the kind of task that always slips, which is why it has to be pulled into the same dashboard as everything else.

The weekly health sweep

  • Empty queues: any page with no scheduled content in the next 48 hours gets flagged.
  • Expiring identities: tokens or sessions near expiry get renewed before they break.
  • Failed posts: anything that errored gets retried or investigated the same day.
  • Reach anomalies: a page whose reach halved with no content change may be restricted, and finding out early is everything.

Make it a dashboard, not a ritual

Feedrevo's Operation Pulse surfaces failed posts, empty queues, and expiring identities in one card, so the health sweep stops being a checklist someone forgets and becomes a screen someone glances at with coffee. Portfolios do not need heroics. They need nothing to be silently broken.
